Fruit Logistica 2024: great interest in new products signed Ser.mac

The Ser.mac team participated in Fruit Logistica 2024, generating much interest in the new machinery with Artificial Intelligence dedicated to nuts and dates.

A successful edition.

From February 7 to 9, we participated in Fruit Logistica, the most important international exhibition in the fruit and vegetable sector, which every year brings to our booth many visitors interested in the latest innovations.
More than any other edition, Fruit Logistica 2024 surprised us with the large turnout of professionals who came to the fair looking for new solutions for their business – many of them, were attracted by the brand-new machines with Artificial Intelligence for nuts and dates signed Ser.mac.

Artificial intelligence for nuts and dates.

The latest new entries in Ser.mac’s product portfolio are the date grader and the walnut grader, both equipped with Artificial Intelligence capable of detecting defects in these two fruits that are difficult to grade because of their organoleptic characteristics. As for dates, Ser.mac has created GHIBLI, the grader that handles different varieties of the product, including the very delicate “Medjool.” This solution identifies its color, weight, diameter, and internal and external quality. In contrast, for walnuts, a grader has been introduced to the fruit and vegetable market that goes beyond their irregular and tough shells, thanks to roller cups that quantify their weight and diameter, and a trolley that rotates the fruit 360 degrees showing every smallest detail to Artificial Intelligence cameras.

These two new technologies automatically discard dates and nuts that do not meet the values of interest, ensuring that only products that fully conform to the target market are sold.

A look back to the past to make great strides toward the future.

As Enrico Prosapio – Sales Director of Ser.mac explains <<six years ago the company pioneered a new fruit and vegetable market technology. This is Artificial Intelligence, which, also thanks to the initial collaboration with the Agrintesa Cooperative, immediately attracted the attention of the industry, leading to the rapid international sale of a large number of plants equipped with HDiA for fruits such as flat peaches, pears, blueberries, watermelons, kiwis and more. Today we offer a completely different hardware and software technology that is even better performing>>.

Google also rewarded Ser.mac for the constant demonstration of a vocation for innovation: <<We also had the pleasure of being chosen by Google as a company that looks to the future – continues Enrico Prosapio – For the occasion, we attended the event held in Rome, where Ser.mac CEO Stefano Crociani showed a video that recounts the algorithm enhancement recently carried out to make the plants more performant, with user-friendly systems thanks to new graphic interfaces. Today we want to thank all the customers who have relied on us and our technologies, from Agrintesa to Perugini, Ceradini, Zeus, Gobbi, Orogel, Zeoli, and all the others scattered around the world. Thanks also to our competitors, because we believe they always push us to improve>>.
